Earth Day

Today is Earth Day; a moment to pause, reflect, and reconnect. At Everyday Alignment, we believe that healing doesn’t just happen to us, it happens with us, in rhythm with the earth beneath our feet.

The soil that grows our food.

The air that fills our lungs.

The water that moves through our bodies.

The sunlight that guides our cycles.

When we care for the earth, we care for ourselves. And when we tend to our bodies, minds, and spirits, we’re more able to show up for this planet with clarity and purpose.

Natural Pain Relief

We know that taking pain medication and NSAIDs come with health risks so it’s best to find natural alternatives and use them first, saving the medications for severe pain management.

Here’s our go-to for natural and fast pain relief

• Arnicare Gel - homeopathic topical anti-inflammatory helps to decrease pain, joint stiffness, swelling and bruising.

• Bio-Freeze - this topical has powerful menthol that knocks out pain and has a cooling effect.

• Magnesium Spray - a topical supplement that helps relax muscles, reduce cramps, and support overall relaxation.

Hidden Creek Farm

This year, I’ve been challenging myself to make choices that truly reflect my values…and this next one is big!

Crystal and Lee not only own and operate Hidden Creek Farm, they do it in a way that honors the land and animals they raise. Primarily a meat farm, they offer organic pasture-raised cow, pig, goat, rabbit, duck and chicken, each with their own season of harvest and butchering. They also offer eggs during laying season, a goat milk share, heirloom vegetables and they have a variety of locally sourced goods in their Farmacy on the property.

I am all for diving in; gardening, growing my own herbs and attempting veggies. And I think being self-sustainable and connected to the earth is a worthy endeavor. I even contemplated pulling a permit to have chickens in the backyard of the clinic - let’s be honest, that may still happen! But what I…

Happy Spring Equinox

March 20th marks the equinox and the first day of Spring. The balance of light and dark help stir our anticipation for warmer days and sunshine, restoring our energy. Although the freeze from winter may still be present, trees are beginning to bud, early spring flowers are growing and now is the time to prepare your home and heart for the brighter and more active months ahead. A deep clean and organization creates space for new projects and summer get togethers. It’s also a good time to do a gentle detox to help shed the heaviness of winter - think whole foods, lots of fiber and lean protein.

The Spring Equinox represents an energetic on-switch where we begin to find excitement and momentum after the long winter days of hibernation — set intentions that involve fresh opportunities. What new things would you like to focus on this year?!

I have certainly felt the excitement and momentum of this time of year! My word for this year is “simplify”- so I am focusing on simplifying where I can (getting rid of things we don’t need, maintaining healthy boundaries, reducing work hours, etc) so that I have more energy for the things that bring us most joy (time together, playing outside, going on adventures) and more intentional time for building habits in my wellness journey.
